2021 Roundtable: R&D in the New Normal

IRI and Babson College are teaming up to do a long term study on the ‘new normal’ for R&D.  The topics to be addressed will include:

1. R&D IN THE NEW NORMAL

   1. Impact on R&D effectiveness of hybrid working models (some staff working from home, some on site)

   2. Maintaining and developing knowledge and expertise in the long term

2. R&D EXECUTION: DELIVERING VALUE

   1. Maintaining engagement and culture in a hybrid working scenario

   2. Collaborating and engaging in effective problem solving remotely

3. MAINTAINING R&D ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE AND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

4. MANAGING R&D REMOTELY

   1. What is different with a remote R&D work team?

   2. What are the best known methods for managing R&D functions remotely?

   3. Mentoring, brainstorming, providing coaching, and feedback remotely

We will begin a series of quarterly roundtables to learn how your industry peers are being impacted by and addressing these topics over time.  In this first roundtable, we will hone our topics to ensure that they are covering the areas with the greatest impact on how your organization approaches R&D.
