The Innovation Research Interchange is dedicated to creating a community of innovation leaders to advance the field. Much of what IRI accomplishes is made possible by the networks IRI helps create and the peer-to-peer transfer of actionable knowledge. As a non-profit association of innovation leaders, IRI is, at its core, a community – bringing together innovators, technologists and research and development professionals to solve common challenges.

This is most obvious in our Innovation and Research Information Services (IRIS) program. IRIS is IRI’s concierge service. IRIS professionals are dedicated to helping IRI members created their own networks and helping  find solutions. IRIS will guide you to the information you need and if that information does not exist in our databases (which contains more than 60 years’ worth of RTM journals and 50 years of original Research on Research) we will:

• Introduce you to another member with expertise in the area you need help in; or,
  • Pose your question to our entire membership on the IRI Community Forum by conducting a quick benchmarking survey.
    • Surveys are emailed on Tuesday mornings, the responses are compiled from members throughout the week, and we email the results on Friday mornings of the same week and post the findings online which are uploaded to a searchable archive.
    • A couple of examples of questions that are asked are:  How do you align your technical ladder and what are your technology readiness levels?
