Digitalization and AI Monthly Roundtable

Join fellow IRI members each month for a roundtable discussion on how digitalization and AI can help to drive innovation. This is an opportunity to benchmark and discuss shared challenges. Don’t worry if you feel you don’t have anything to contribute right now; eventually you will! Here is a rundown of what we will cover this quarter:

1. Q&A:  What are your current challenges?  What can your peers help you with?
2. AI update:  What’s the latest with the use of AI in your organization?
3. Different topic each month:
   1. January 16: How can digitally mature R&D organizations build robust infrastructure to unlock the full potential of AI-driven research and innovation? What practical steps and governance strategies accelerate measurable value from unified AI platforms—while safeguarding scientific traceability and IP? Together, we’ll tackle these questions in a collaborative group problem-solving exercise designed to generate actionable solutions.
   2. February 20: How is AI changing the way companies approach the early stages of new product development? What practical impacts does AI have on identifying customer needs and improving decision-making in product innovation? We will discuss the insights from this article: Integrating AI into the Front End of New Product Development. 
   3. March 20: How can you build and align your AI talent strategies to accelerate innovation and achieve your long-term R&D goals? What measures will help you define success in creating a sustainable AI-ready workforce for the future of R&D?
