Marc Block

Marc Block is a global business leader with more than two decades of experience building and scaling specialty chemical businesses across Asia, Europe, and North America. As Global Vice President at Wanhua Chemical Group, he leads the Performance Chemicals commercial platform, including aliphatic isocyanates, specialty amines, and special monomers. 

Marc has helped grow Wanhua’s aliphatic isocyanates business from market entry into a leading global platform and has led cross-border acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and integration initiatives. His work brings together commercial growth, portfolio development, and operational transformation, with a focus on translating technology and manufacturing capabilities into differentiated customer solutions. 

Drawing on extensive international experience, Marc brings a practical perspective on building resilient specialty chemical businesses amid geopolitical uncertainty. His responsibilities include expanding regional manufacturing and commercial capabilities, strengthening supply networks, and balancing global scale with local market needs. 

Before joining Wanhua, Marc spent more than a decade at Bayer MaterialScience in commercial and product management leadership roles. He holds an MBA from Nanyang Business School in Singapore.
