Perspectives on Cybersecurity Trends and Resources from
Carnegie Mellon University
Ole Villadsen (Carnegie Mellon University Libraries)
This presentation will leave attendees with a firm understanding and appreciation for key trends in cybersecurity, authoritative resources for cybersecurity information and research, and the information security programs and research projects at Carnegie Mellon University.  Mr. Villadsen will begin with an overview of the latest developments in cybersecurity to include cyber threats and attacks, means for defense, and government legislation.  The presentation will then shift to cover reliable and respected resources for cybersecurity news, trends, and research used throughout academia and industry.  Finally, the speaker will provide a roundup of the key programs and research projects at CMU that are shaping cybersecurity and enabling our information security workforce.
