Deliverables

Description

Objective: Identify tools to facilitate effective global management of technology through cross-cultural management and communication

A sequel to the work done at MIT and described earlier underĀ Global Management of Technology, the focus of this project was to identify, through personal interviews, the barriers and facilitators for cross-cultural management and communication in global technology development. A Special Interest Session was held at the 1998 IRI Annual Meeting in which techniques for “Doing R&D Globally” were discussed. Another Special Interest Session, on “Doing R&D Globally-A Framework for Decision Making,” was held during the 2000 IRI Annual Meeting to summarize the learnings from this project.
